Project Management for Staffing Companies
Project Management: Making It Work for You
Jathan Moline Stays True to His Project Management Roots
With more than two dozen ERP implementations going on at once, TempWorks can be a hectic place. How to manage it all?
At TempWorks we make project management a core component of our enterprise software.
Our implementations manager, Jathan Moline, also happens to be a scrappy coder as well, and he's been busy building out our core in-house Support Case system to manage our larger projects.
In the image above he fans out his current deck of 25 projects, and as you can tell manila folders, contrary to popular belief, still make for a great organizing tool.
Nevertheless, Jathan's software modules do two great things. First they help us manage all these projects. 'Nuf said. But also they become tools that our clients can use as well.
As staffing evolves, the demands from staffing clients for vendor management systems, budgeting tools, integrated time clock and security solutions only grows. Having project management tools as first-class citizens in our ERP suite only makes sense.
Mark Baratto, our EVP who has decades of experience selling staffing services, knows first hand about those challenges. He sees traditional staffing providers move increasingly towards providing project solutions.
The staffing business evolves every bit as fast as the workplace. Only the agile staffing companies survive, and they too need tools to adeptly move projects from sales to implementation to support.
