Now Hiring: Web Design Engineer

There's more than one reason that the word "design" is in this job title.

It's because we think of more than the way things look when we think of design at Tempworks.

It's also a measure of the way we work with our clients to customize our software to their needs. Or the importance we place on creating interfaces that are simultaneously intuitive and inviting for end users.

Because we know that developing web applications that work doesn't happen by accident. It's by design.

That's why we're not looking for any web design engineer. We're looking for genius: The Vermeer of Visual Studio. The Cézanne of CSS. The Fouquet of font formatting.

As a web design engineer at Tempworks, you'd be responsible for development on TempWorks web application user interfaces. Day-to-day, you'd also act as an internal resource to our sales and implementation teams for customization projects.

Lifecycle Involvement

While genius is 1% inspiration, the 99% perspiration requires the web design engineer to be thorough, methodical and able to prioritize shifting workloads in order to meet deadlines.

You'll have broad project lifecycle involvement, from translating customer requirements into well documented industry best practice designs to coding, testing, deployment and documentation.

We don't require you to take an IQ test, but you'll need to have highlighted the following checklist-type technical thingies on your resume: Experience providing enterprise level application support

Expertise in Visual Studio (C#), ASP.NET and jQuery
Solid experience in user interface design (portfolios will be requested)
Familiarity with SQL Server 2005 and beyond.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with company executives and other business units throughout the development stage.
Ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities
